The Storm Sleeper is comprised of a high-quality washable and removable antimicrobial, soft blanket and fabric that covers sound dampening foam. The premium fabric can be spot cleaned or removed to be washed and doesn't attract lint, dust or pet hair. The Storm Sleeper is lightweight and can be easily folded and stored in its custom carrying bag for storage or to take with you. Inside of the Storm Sleeper is a state-of-the-art rechargable Bluetooth speaker that easily pairs with your devices and plays soothing music, podcasts, and audiobooks of your choice. Complete with a built in pocket to store your books, phone, iPad and other favorite items. The Storm Sleeper Story
The Storm Sleeper was created by Julia, who could only sleep during scary thunderstorms by putting pillows around her head. She created the Storm Sleeper to help others with the same fear. Julia soon discovered that the Storm Sleeper could also benefit those who are sensitive to sensory issues, as well as those who want to relax and sleep near snoring and other unwanted noises. The Storm Sleeper helps those with autism, ADHD, PTSD and others who are sensitive to sensory issues escape from sensory overload. We have also found that it's not just humans who enjoy using the Storm Sleeper. Dogs and cats like to retreat to the Storm Sleeper - especially during loud storms and fireworks. It is a personal sensory pod, a safe place to unwind, meditate and relax.
Julia is an innovator & a philanthropist. She believed in her idea so strongly that at only 10 years old, on her own, she entered her Storm Sleeper in Frito-Lay's Dreamvention contest - the inaugural national invention contest that she learned about while watching the Ellen show. Out of over 13,000 entries, Julia won the Grand Prize for her original invention. Since helping others and giving back is so important to Julia, she created her own Charitable Fund with a significant part of her prize winnings. Julia also hopes the Storm Sleeper will give people and pets struggling with sensory sensitivities relief from their personal storms. Therefore, she will be donating a portion of all Storm Sleeper sales to support children's hospitals, veterans, animal rescue programs, and the autism community.
